ABOUT THE REGION: This factory is part of the larger Kibirigwi co-operative. The coffee grows at an altitude of between 1700 - 1800m in red volcanic soils. The county is named after Mount Kenya which was formerly known as Mt. Kirinyaga meaning "Crest of whiteness" synonymous with its snow-capped peaks.
